Founded by Julia Palm, JPalm is an independent brand that challenges an industry built on speed and disposability, with a strong commitment to local, small-batch production. All production is based in New Zealand, collaborating with a range of skilled industry pattern graders, garment cutters, machinists, and pressers to deliver high-quality, textile-led collections.
Based in their Pōneke (Wellington) workroom, Julia oversees the entire process of designing, pattern making and sampling of each piece in-house, ensuring all garments reflect a high standard of artisanal skill and intentional design. Quality is further reflected in the brand's choice to prioritise high-quality deadstock and textiles, selected for longevity, alongside locally sourced fabric and trims.

Based in Pōneke (Wellington), Winnie Catherine is a namesake label defined by craftsmanship and a commitment to made-to-order production. Prioritising traditional techniques, including French seams and hand finishing, each piece is constructed intentionally from natural fibres. Winnie Catherine creates sophisticated wardrobe staples that empower the wearer with quiet confidence.

Founded by Maggie Hewitt, Maggie Marilyn is an Auckland-based label grounded in transparency, circularity, and strong relationships with its makers. Driven by the belief that luxury should not come at the planet’s expense, the brand produces high-end pieces designed to uplift the wearer while advocating for a hopeful, regenerative future.
The label focuses on a ‘farm-to-finished-garment’ production model, committed to using the world’s highest-quality regenerative, organic, and repurposed fibres.

Established in 1981, Standard Issue is an Auckland-based label dedicated to creating timeless, functional knitwear that meets sustainability standards. Every garment is designed and crafted in its own New Zealand workroom, using 100% natural and renewable fibres, including merino, cashmere and cotton. Manufacturing in-house, the brand maintains a high standard of craftsmanship, creating high-quality garments designed to endure.
Supporting Standard Issue means investing in a label that actively gives back to the local community. Through its ‘Jumper to Jumper’ initiative, in partnership with the Middlemore Foundation and Wellington Hospitals Foundation, purchases from the collection contribute a woollen item to help keep a Kiwi kid warm. Additionally, the brand’s ‘Care for Life’ programme provides tailored restoration and reclamation services, extending the longevity of its knitwear and supporting a truly circular wardrobe.

Founded by designer Kate Megaw, originally in a hilltop tin shed near Taihape, Penny Sage is an independent label that produces slow and deliberate collections that are attentive to fabric, construction and detail. All pieces are produced locally within 30km of the Grey Lynn studio in Auckland, New Zealand.
Pieces are predominantly made from natural fibres such as silk, cotton, linen and wool, due to their high-quality and longevity properties. Working closely with a small in-house team and a range of skilled cutters, sewers, knitters and pressers, Kate continues to prioritise quality, relationships and clothes worth keeping.
